On August 15, 2017, Louis Edward Greer Jr., age 39, was fatally shot in Kansas City, Missouri. He was found by authorities following a reported incident, and his death remains one of the unsolved homicides that year. Louis Greer, known as "Brother" to his loved ones, was a lifelong resident of Kansas City and well-regarded by those around him.
