An unusually warm spring evening on April 15, 2023, drew a crowd of several hundred people to Chickasaw Park in Louisville, Kentucky. Among them was Deaji Good, a 28-year-old Black male. The festive atmosphere was shattered around 9 p.m. when gunfire erupted into the crowd. In the chaos that ensued, Good was fatally wounded, dying from multiple gunshot wounds.
