On June 7, 2017, Kansas City, Missouri, experienced a tragic triple homicide that claimed the lives of three men, including 34-year-old Kevin Murrell. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire around 1 a.m. and discovered the bodies of Murrell, Chad Cain, and Cortez Hanley in a parked car near Gregory Boulevard and Monroe Avenue. Witnesses reported hearing a significant exchange of gunfire, estimated at about 20 shots, leading authorities to the scene.
