Robert D. Shields, a 38-year-old man from Nashville, TN, was fatally shot on April 28, 2019, outside the Elks Lodge on Jefferson Street. Shields was leaving the lodge early Sunday morning after a Saturday night party when he was confronted by an armed robber. During the confrontation, shots were exchanged, and Shields was hit.
