On the evening of July 6, 2019, Richard Lee Marsh, a 27-year-old Black male, was in the parking lot of The Last Hole Bar at 1502 Jefferson Street in Nashville, Tennessee. At approximately 8:00 p.m., gunfire erupted, and Marsh was struck multiple times. A private citizen transported him to the emergency room at Nashville General Hospital with gunshot wounds to his head. He was subsequently transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for further treatment.
