Jamal Brandon Campbell, a 37-year-old male, tragically died on May 13, 2020, in Nashville, TN. Campbell was in the area of Cumberland View Apartments in North Nashville to buy marijuana when he was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery. The suspect, Clarence Rene Baxter Jr., 25, allegedly pulled a gun on Campbell in a breezeway, leading to the shooting. Campbell was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
