On the evening of July 5, 2024, 35-year-old Jorge Noel Cruz-Garcia was fatally shot in what authorities have described as a targeted attack in West Nashville, Tennessee. The incident occurred just before 6:30 p.m. outside La Hispana Bakery on Charlotte Pike. Cruz-Garcia had parked his vehicle and entered the bakery; upon exiting, he was ambushed by four gunmen who emerged from a dark sedan with temporary tags.
