In the late hours of a Tuesday in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 29-year-old Brandon M. Jones was tragically cut short. On September 24, 2019, Jones, a Black male, was found lying in the street outside of Larry's Bar on Brick Church Pike with a gunshot wound to his head. He had reportedly been at a party at the establishment earlier that evening.
Emergency services rushed him to Skyline Medical Center, but he succumbed to his injuries just before 4 a.m. the next morning.
Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department believe the fatal shooting was not a random act of violence, but rather the result of a lingering dispute. The case was marked as one of the city's 50 homicides for that year.
In the wake of the shooting, investigators have been actively pursuing leads to identify the person responsible for Mr. Jones's death.
