Dashawn Ellison, a 23-year-old man from Nashville, Tennessee, was fatally shot on February 7, 2019. Ellison was playing a dice game inside an apartment in the 1500 block of 9th Avenue North when he was shot in the torso. He was quickly transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
