On December 8, 2024, the body of 59-year-old Steven Curtis Waln was discovered in the Hamilton Creek Recreation Area, located off Bell Road in Nashville, Tennessee. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound, prompting the Metro Nashville Police Department to initiate a homicide investigation.
