A 25-year-old Black man named LeKe Jenkins was fatally shot in Nashville, Tennessee, on the evening of March 20, 2022. The shooting occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. inside an apartment on Frith Drive in East Nashville. Jenkins was reportedly at the apartment to assist his girlfriend with moving when an altercation broke out.
During the dispute, Jenkins was shot multiple times. He sustained two gunshot wounds to the chest and one to the ribs. He was transported to Vanderbilt University
