In the summer of 2020, the life of 19-year-old Jareesa Porchia was tragically cut short in Memphis, Tennessee. Originally from Camden, Arkansas, the young Black woman's body was discovered in a ditch on Old Getwell Road on June 23, 2020. An investigation revealed she had died from a gunshot wound to the head.
