Beverly Jacks, a 66-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot to death on October 24, 2018, in Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Wabash in South Memphis. Beverly was found inside her car with gunshot wounds to her head and torso. Her 9-year-old grandson, who was in the backseat, was unharmed. Witnesses reported seeing men pull up to the car with assault rifles and open fire.
