Benjamin Lane, a 30-year-old male, was tragically shot and killed outside his townhouse on Colbert Way in East Nashville on August 11, 2020. At the time of his death, Lane was working as a data scientist at Vanderbilt University. He was putting together furniture with his girlfriend when they heard a gunshot. Lane fell to the ground, and despite his girlfriend's attempts to help him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
