On a warm evening in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 11, 2020, Benjamin Cameron Lane, a 30-year-old White male, was enjoying a simple domestic task with his girlfriend outside their townhouse on Colbert Way in East Nashville. They were assembling furniture when the peaceful moment was shattered by a sudden, loud blast. Lane fell to the ground, fatally wounded by a shotgun blast in what authorities believe was a targeted attack. His girlfriend immediately rendered aid, but he was pronounced dead ...
