Maria Lopez, a 46-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on August 26, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee. The incident was determined to be a murder-suicide. Maria Lopez was shot multiple times by her boyfriend, Julio Escalon Ruiz, who was 39 years old. After killing Maria, Ruiz turned the gun on himself, resulting in his death as well.
