In the late hours of a Saturday night in Nashville, a dispute simmering with anger boiled over into a tragedy that would end the life of 50-year-old Shereca M. Waters, a Black/African American woman. The evening of August 30, 2025, found Waters outside a residence at 87 Fain Street in the J.C. Napier community.
