In the cool evening of October 17, 2020, Gennaro Daniele, a 29-year-old male, was fatally shot in Nashville, Tennessee. Known professionally as "G-Stylez," Daniele was a music producer, entrepreneur, and a devoted husband and father. The incident that claimed his life unfolded in the parking lot of his recording studio located on Old Elm Hill Pike.
He was not the only victim that night; his friend, Jesus "Oso" Torrero, aged 27, was also killed in the attack.
Around 7:30 p.m., as Daniele and Torrero were leaving the studio, they were ambushed by assailants. Witnesses reported that at least one gunman opened fire from behind the building. Surveillance footage captured three hooded figures emerging from the shadows and forcing both Daniele and Torrero to the ground before shooting them. The attackers then fled the scene in what was described as a newer model burgundy or red Chevrolet sedan with dealer tags. Both victims were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
The investigation into the double homicide took a turn when a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car appeared at Summit Medical Center a short time after the shooting. Three young men were in the car and attempted to drop off a gunshot victim, but they sped away when hospital staff approached. This individual was later identified as 28-year-old Quencharios Edmonds, who was found deceased from multiple gunshot wounds inside his SUV on Enon Springs Road in Smyrna. Investigators believe Edmonds was one of the suspects and was accidentally shot by one of his accomplices during the initial attack.
In a subsequent search of Gennaro Daniele's studio, detectives discovered seven pounds of marijuana, 500 ecstasy pills, a pistol, and $42,836 in cash. This finding led police to suspect the shooting was drug-related. Despite identifying one of the likely assailants, the other individuals involved in the murder of Gennaro Daniele and Jesus Torrero have not been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with their deaths. The case remains an open and active investigation.
