On May 17, 2021, 37-year-old Perry Donnerson was fatally shot in the parking lot of Morgan Steel on West Trigg Avenue in South Memphis. Donnerson, who was found unresponsive at the scene, was later pronounced dead at Regional One Hospital. Investigators discovered video footage showing a dark gray Chevy Malibu pulling into the parking lot just before the shooting occurred. Police believe that the individuals inside the vehicle were responsible for Donnerson's death.
