In the winter of 2017, the life of Marlon Toney, a 45-year-old African-American man, was violently cut short in Memphis, Tennessee. On the evening of January 30th, what began as an ordinary day ended in a tragedy that left his family and community searching for answers that remain elusive. Toney was with another individual, Eric Moody, when they were suddenly confronted by armed assailants.
