In the summer of 2022, the life of 19-year-old Allieon J. Warr was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. A Black male from Memphis, Tennessee, Warr was shot and killed on the evening of Friday, June 24th. The fatal incident unfolded around 10:30 p.m. in the Parkway Village neighborhood, specifically in the 3200 block of West Danville Circle, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding Warr's death point to a violent encounter that ended not only a life
but also involved the theft of his vehicle. Following the shooting, one of the individuals believed to be responsible fled the scene in Warr's car. The stolen vehicle was later discovered abandoned in the 2600 block of Getwell.
In the wake of the homicide, the Memphis Police Department launched an investigation that led to the identification of two suspects. Despite these developments, the individuals sought in connection with Allieon J. Warr's murder have not yet been taken into custody. The case remains an open and active investigation as law enforcement continues their efforts to apprehend those responsible.
The community was left to grapple with the senseless loss of a young life to gun violence. Friends and family mourned the passing of a young man who, according to those who knew him, was kind, smart, and brought joy to many. His loved ones continue to await the day when justice will be served for his untimely death.
