On July 15, 2023, 14-year-old LaQuincy Demontaye Martin Jr. tragically lost his life in Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred near a pool in the 3400 block of Wild Rye Lane in the Hickory Hill neighborhood. According to reports, a confrontation took place during which a male suspect armed with an AR-style firearm shot LaQuincy, critically injuring him.
