In the late hours of a Sunday in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 28-year-old Javon Dominique Cork was tragically cut short. On November 29, 2020, Cork, a male, found himself in the midst of a violent attempted robbery that erupted into a fatal shootout. The incident, which unfolded near the Memphis airport, not only claimed Cork's life but also that of 31-year-old Christopher 'Boo' Hudson.
Two other individuals were also injured in the exchange of gunfire, leaving a scene of chaos and loss.
The events of that night stemmed from an attempted robbery where armed individuals entered a residence, leading to the deadly confrontation. In the aftermath, an investigation was launched to bring those responsible to justice. The inquiries led to the identification of multiple suspects believed to be involved in the violent episode that resulted in two deaths and two other people being wounded.
Following the investigation into the double homicide, three men were indicted in connection with the deadly shooting. Cornelius Ward, Kobe Westbrooks, and Marcus Greer were taken into custody and faced a series of serious charges for their alleged roles in the incident. The charges brought against them included first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and attempted especially aggravated robbery, reflecting the gravity of the violent acts that transpired on that November night.
