In the small city of Dyersburg, Tennessee, a grim discovery was made on October 25, 2021. The body of Justin Lake, a 25-year-old Black/African American male, was found in a grassy area between Parks Thurmond and Sellers. The scene told a story of violence, as it was apparent that Lake had sustained gunshot wounds. His death was quickly ruled a homicide, launching an investigation by the Dyersburg Police Department.
