On December 6, 2021, in Memphis, Tennessee, 30-year-old African American male Jeramy Edwards was tragically killed in a violent incident that also claimed the life of 30-year-old Kenya Baskin, an African American female. The events unfolded in the early hours when Corey Lurry, 27, forcibly entered Baskin's residence on Douglass Street. Lurry initiated a physical assault on his former girlfriend, Baskin.
