On a Saturday evening in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 22-year-old Jerious D. Johnson was tragically cut short. On April 30, 2022, in the rear parking lot of the West Park Community Center on Morrow Road, Johnson was fatally shot. The young African American man was found by police responding to a call of shots fired at approximately 6:20 p.m. He was on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
