Jody Lyn Patzner Jr., aged 22, was shot and killed on April 9, 2012, while riding his bicycle in North Minneapolis. Patzner was cycling near the 3500 block of Fremont Avenue North when three young men reportedly attempted to rob him, demanding his bike. During the confrontation, two shots were fired, and Patzner collapsed shortly afterward, dying on the sidewalk.
