On October 19, 2024, at approximately 6:15 a.m., 46-year-old William Demone Walker of Denver was fatally shot in the head in the 1700 block of 25th Avenue North in Minneapolis. The incident occurred after a dispute at a nearby party escalated into a street altercation. Despite prompt medical attention from officers and paramedics, Walker succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
