Kissmayu Banks, a five-year-old boy of mixed ethnicity, tragically lost his life on September 25, 1982, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Kissmayu was one of the victims in a horrific mass shooting spree carried out by his father, George Emil Banks, a former prison guard. The incident took place at the Heather Highlands Mobile Home Park in Jenkins Township and a home in Wilkes-Barre, resulting in the deaths of 13 people, including Kissmayu's mother, Sharon Mazzillo, and his siblings.
