In the summer of 1990, Philadelphia Police Officer Joaquin Montijo Jr., a 35-year-old male, tragically lost his life in the line of duty. On June 13th of that year, Officer Montijo responded to a disturbance call on Fairhill Street, near Lycoming Street. Upon his arrival, he encountered a man brandishing a pistol.
