John Kroll, a 52-year-old Caucasian male from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, tragically lost his life on March 1, 2000. He was a maintenance worker who, along with his colleague John Dewitt, was called to repair a door at the apartment of Ronald Taylor, a 39-year-old African American man.
