Romeke Freeman, a 20-year-old resident of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, died tragically on July 1, 2017, as the result of a shooting in Pittsburgh's Garfield neighborhood. Freeman was found with a gunshot wound to the head around 2 a.m. on North Aiken Avenue. He was immediately transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, where he was placed on life support but succumbed to his injuries later that same afternoon.
