Anil Thakur, a 31-year-old Indian man, tragically lost his life on April 28, 2000, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Thakur was one of five victims killed by Richard Scott Baumhammers during a racially motivated shooting spree. Baumhammers, an unemployed immigration lawyer, went on a rampage targeting individuals of different ethnic backgrounds.
