On November 25, 2017, Augustus Gray, a 14-year-old from the Woodland Hills School District, was tragically shot in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood. Gray, a junior high school student, was found with a gunshot wound to the head on Paulson Avenue and was later pronounced dead at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. The shooting occurred early in the morning, and police were initially unable to identify witnesses or suspects, leading to a challenging investigation.
