Scott Alan Wertz, a 40-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, was a dedicated Criminal Investigator for the Reading Police Department in Reading, Pennsylvania. On the night of August 6, 2006, Officer Wertz responded to a call about a fight at a local convenience store located at the intersection of 8th and Walnut Streets.
