Joseph Basnight, a 33-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically passed away on August 20, 2019, in Reading, Pennsylvania. He was found dead in his apartment with gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen. The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. when Basnight received a text message from someone who had given him counterfeit $100 bills.
