In the early morning hours of July 14, 2011, the life of 18-year-old Keion S. Gooding was tragically cut short. A student at Harrisburg High School, the young Black man was fatally shot around 3 a.m. in the 300 block of Crescent Street, just outside his own home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The incident left his family and the local community in shock and mourning.
