Coshaye Monae Brown, a 19-year-old mother from Minneapolis, was fatally shot on June 27, 2016, while sitting in a car in the north side of the city. The shooting occurred late at night, around 11:15 p.m., on Penn Avenue North. When police arrived, they found Brown with a gunshot wound to the chest, and she was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she later died.
