In the late hours of November 4, 2015, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, the lives of two childhood friends were tragically cut short in a violent outburst. Quentin Watson Jr., a 26-year-old male, was found deceased with multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment at the Park Place Apartments on Sandy Street. His friend, Marcel Edwin Edwards, also 26, was discovered in an adjacent hallway of the same building, having suffered a similar fate. The grim discovery was made after police responded to reports of a shooting at the complex around 11:12 p.m.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly led authorities to a suspect, Obrian Stephen Lewis. It was determined that the motive for the killings was jealousy, as one of the victims was reportedly dating Lewis's ex-girlfriend, who was also the mother of his young child. Tragically, the child was present in the apartment at the time of the shooting. According to court documents, the attack was particularly brutal, with the shooter firing numerous rounds into both victims.
Lewis was apprehended the day after the bodies were discovered. He was subsequently charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Quentin Watson Jr. and Marcel Edwards. Following his arrest, the case proceeded through the legal system. In September 2017, Obrian Stephen Lewis was convicted of the double homicide and sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison, ensuring he would be held accountable for the senseless act of violence that claimed the lives of the two young men.
