In the summer of 2018, the life of 22-year-old Kelvin Zaccheus Welch, a Black male from Selmer, Tennessee, was tragically cut short. On the evening of July 2nd, Welch was fatally shot at a residence on Ryan Street in Savannah, Tennessee. The incident, which stemmed from an argument, left Welch critically injured. He was driven by witnesses to the Hardin Medical Center and later transferred to a Nashville hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
