Khalil Shoatz, a 25-year-old African American man from Philadelphia, PA, was tragically shot and killed on July 29, 2016. He was a loving father of three children and was known for his generosity and caring nature. Khalil paid the registration fees for seven boys who wanted to join the West Philly Panthers football team but whose families couldn't afford it. Unfortunately, he never got to see them play as he was fatally shot in the Mantua section of West Philadelphia.
