In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Philadelphia, the grounds of Martin Luther King High School became a scene of tragedy. On September 22, 2024, a passerby discovered the body of 16-year-old William Erik Honesty II, a Black male, and police were summoned to the 5900 block of Stenton Avenue just after 11:30 p.m. for a report of an unconscious person.
