Guymore Rookwood, a 33-year-old man from Philadelphia, PA, tragically lost his life on August 23, 2022. He was one of four victims in a quadruple shooting that occurred in West Philadelphia. The incident took place on the 6000 block of Race Street, where Rookwood and three other men were sitting and enjoying the weather when a gunman approached and started firing.
Rookwood was hit multiple times in the torso and succumbed to his injuries the following night at the hospital.
The other victim who died was Donald Forsythe, 55, while two other men, aged 60 and 33, suffered gunshot wounds to the leg but survived. The gunman fled the scene, but surveillance cameras in the area captured the incident, and police have been reviewing the footage in an attempt to identify the shooter.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Investigators released surveillance video in an effort to identify two suspects believed to be involved in the crime. The police are actively seeking information from the public to help solve the case and bring those responsible to justice.
