In the early hours of a cold January morning in South Philadelphia, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the 2200 block of South 7th Street. When police arrived shortly after 1 a.m. on January 13, 2021, they found two victims of a double shooting. One of them was 48-year-old David Oliver, a Black male from Philadelphia. He had been shot multiple times.
