Janet M. Morris, a 76-year-old woman from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 30, 2017, at her home. Born on May 27, 1940, Janet was the daughter of Mervin Geyer, Sr., and Miriam Geyer. She was married to Glenn E. Morris for nearly 60 years, and Glenn passed away on the same day as Janet. Janet is survived by her four children, Kimberly I. Dyer, Todd A. Morris, Karen A. Bricker, and Terry L.
Morris, as well as a grandson and a granddaughter.
The circumstances surrounding Janet's death were determined to be a murder-suicide. Investigators found that Janet and her 78-year-old husband, Glenn Morris, died from single gunshot wounds to the head. The couple was discovered by a neighbor who became concerned after noticing that the Morrises had not taken their trash out and their mail had piled up. Upon entering the home using a spare key, the neighbor found the couple deceased in their bed. Authorities confirmed that Glenn shot Janet before turning the gun on himself.
