In the early morning hours of September 26, 1997, a team of parole agents arrived at a home on East Lippincott Street in Philadelphia. They were there to arrest 26-year-old Kenneth Griffin for a parole violation. Inside the dimly lit basement of his mother's house, Griffin was asleep with his girlfriend and their two children. Awakened by his mother's calls that the agents had arrived, Griffin hid, unarmed and naked, under a bed.
