Akeem Mattox, a 28-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on November 19, 2018, in Southwest Philadelphia, PA. Mattox was one of four victims found executed-style in the basement of a home on Malcolm Street. The other victims included his half-brother, 31-year-old Maurice Taylor, 20-year-old Tiyaniah Hopkins, and 17-year-old Yaleah Hall. The victims were discovered with gunshot wounds to their heads, and it appeared they were led down to the basement before being shot.
