In the early morning of November 5, 2018, tragedy struck on the 2800 block of Susquehanna Avenue in Philadelphia. NaJay Williams-White, an 18-year-old male, was found lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. At approximately 9:47 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to the scene. The young man, who resided on North Salford Street, was rushed to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.
Despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries.
NaJay, known as an aspiring rap artist, was described by his family as a talented child who loved to write and create music. He was a beloved son, brother to four sisters and two brothers, and a doting grandson. His family remembers him as the life of the party, a jokester with a great sense of humor who loved to make people laugh. In the time leading up to his death, he had expressed a desire to turn his life around, earn a degree, and pursue his passion for music.
The investigation into NaJay Williams-White's murder has unfortunately stalled. According to police, the deadly shooting was not captured on any surveillance cameras, and a motive remains unknown. As of now, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with his death. His loved ones are still seeking answers and justice for his murder. The Philadelphia Police Department continues to ask for the public's assistance with any information that could help solve this case. A reward of up to $20,000 is available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his death.
