Dorothy Louise Wright-Weiler, age 22, was last seen on June 16, 1947, in Lewiston, Idaho. That day, she was walking with her mother along Main Street when she suddenly broke away and declared that she intended to jump into the river. She ran towards the Snake River, and this was the last time she was seen. Dorothy had recently gone through a divorce four months earlier and had been awarded custody of her two young sons. She had been living with her grandmother at the time of her disappearance.
