Patricia Lee Otto, a 24-year-old mother of two, disappeared from Lewiston, Idaho, on September 2, 1976, following an argument with her husband, Ralph Otto. Patricia, known as "Patty," was last seen leaving her home after the dispute and never returned. She left behind her belongings, including her car and wedding rings, which were later found in Ralph's coat pocket. Her sudden disappearance, coupled with the discovery of the rings, raised suspicions of foul play.
