Donald Smodic, a 57-year-old man from Apollo, Pennsylvania, tragically died on April 21, 2018, in Meyersdale, PA. According to police reports, Smodic was involved in an altercation with a friend at a hunting cabin in Larimer Township. After the altercation, he began loading his vehicle with his belongings, which included two semi-automatic long guns and ammunition. However, he then removed the firearms, loaded them, and began shooting into the cabin, firing approximately 121 rounds.
